How to get there
From Dhaka, an overnight coach takes about 8–10 hours. A domestic flight is about an hour. In town, the beach is a short rickshaw or walk from most hotels.
Where to stay
Kolatoli and Sugandha have both simple hotels and beach resorts. Book December weekends ahead.
What to eat
Grilled rupchanda, prawn, and dried fish. Ask the price before you sit at a beach grill.
